I hope this link works.

I have a 2005 with 105k. The oil has been leaking for about two oil changes now. It's only on the driver's side, and it's starting to drip onto the cement floor.

I have most things original. The Jeep seems to be upset with me these days. It's sluggish and louder than it used to be. It has been cold here though. The top of the engine has had oil from the CCV for quite some time, but I don't think that's the cause. That seems dry and older.

Here's the youtube link.

But that's all on the other side isn't it? The CCV connects on the passenger side right?

If it's sluggish and louder than it used to be I would take off your driver's side intercooler hose and inspect it for splits. Could be that blowby passed through the intercooler has found a way out there.

Edit; Nevermind just read you have samcos.

How about this notion - leaky gasket where the flow control valve connects to the elbow to the intake, or at the elbow/intake connection, or leaky EGR pipe off the bottom of that elbow. Even with GDE tune, oil from the CCV works its way over there from the turbo via the turbo>intercooler>engine hoses. A leak in 1 or more of those locations could spray an oil mist over a lot of area and also result in noise and low boost (sluggish performance) because you would be loosing some boost thru the leak area, essentially mimicing a spilt boost hose.

Oil leak detection 101, degrease the engine and area in question then drive and look for where the leak starts not where it winds up. Just saying.

We may see high 50s this week in terms of temp. I'll try to clean the block and see what I can see. I was trying to figure out if the hoses to the EGR are leaking, but it seems to be everywhere.

The leak seems to be only near the back of the engine. The front intercooler hose is clean, and the parts around it are clean. The source is as high as the top of the block, but as forward as those two metal hoses that I think are the input and output from the EGR... I really have no idea what those metal hoses are though.

Email me and I'll send you a picture of what I'm speculating about.

The leak is seepage from the EGR system. This is very common on the CRD and due to oil leaking back through the EGR pipe from the intake manifold mixing with soot buildup in the EGR pipes. You might be able to spray the area with brake cleaner and then tighten the bolts holding the pipes in place.

If you are local it might be worthwhile to schedule a visit with us and we can take some flow measurements (mass air) to determine if there is a blockage in the system.

Big Montana,

If I were you and lived that close to GDE, I would take the day off to accept his offer, patiently waiting at his garage door before he opened for business.

I will call you Keith. You tuned my car in your driveway a few years ago. Thanks for the offer. I've been planning on coming back for the trans tune once I got the TC replaced.

I had a leak like that. It was coming from the junction at the elbow and FCV on the air intake. took apart, new gaskets, re-torque, and provent. Leak went away. I might have been sold with the Provent only but I went the extra mile to be sure

The only source of engine oil at that point would be via oil vapor in charge air.

A Provent would be your best soluiton for the oil.
however
If oil is leaking out, then air most certainly is also leaking. That needs addressed as well, and Yes, a Weeks elbow, properly installed, would fix that.
New gaskets, O-rings, CAC hoses, and proper tightening could also fix the leak, but still needs the Provent to solve the oil problem.

I installed weeks kit and I'm watching the area. Haven't seen anything yet.
