Well two weekends ago when doing a filter/fluid change I found the filter split. I posted on here and as per Warp2diesel I did install a 3/8 inline magnifine filter in the oil cooler line. I just replaced all filters/ fluid again today. I think I did dodge the bullet on this one. The shift points seem fine, t/c lockup seems okay. Looking back the shift points seemed okay, I did have a stall one cold morning at a light, about a mile from my house and o/d off . I did fine the dipstick popped out twice. The 1st time was just checking the level and odor of the fluid. Did not think to much about it. But the dipstick was sticking out when I replaced the filters the 1st time. Did the stall split the filter, or did it just split? Dipstick popped out do to pump pulling air instead of fluid? Time will tell. Split filter was OEM with around 30,000 miles .

Dipstick always pops out - has since it was new.
The dipstick pops out because it's longer than the space it fits in......
fixes have included, flip it 180, but a bend in it, and LTT's extension to the dipstick tube....

That by itself should not be a concern..
