one of mine is shot for sure and is rattling around like crazy as well as popping on turning, and i think the other is bad, but they'll both be replaced regardless. Where is the most reliable place i can get these? i know about the chinese manufacturing issue where the axles are shorter then they should be but napa is out of the way for me and would rather order on line.

also, should i replace the intermediate shaft while the cv's are being done? the cv's and intermediate shaft are all stock with over 160k on them :dead:

X2 plus there was a relatively recent post (my bad I usually copy and save such useful information) that provided a link to a place that sells rebuild kits for the joint that several members have used with apparent success.

awesome! didn't even think of checking that, thanks! Any input on the intermediate shaft? I think it should be replaced, but i'm entirely unsure.

I am going to post up for audioboy again, he takes the napa units and grinds down the head so they won't bind. You got a pretty beefed up rig irollgen4, and I am going out on a limb here and guessing you wheel a lot :)

I think they are like 400 bucks but you can return the core.

i might have to check into those again. I'm at 22" from the hub to bottom of the flares all around, so i think i'm okay with normal CV's with no binding. Sadly i don't get to wheel it as much as i'd like to. There's virtually no legal trails on Long Island, and the ones that we do run are so narrow that they destroy the paint with scratches and dings. I like keeping my stuff shiny so i avoid those trails most of the time.
