I'm guessing you mean the bottom most pulley (e.g. crankshaft pulley/dampner) the serp belt runs over (see pictures in the document link at http://www.greendieselengineering.com/f ... st/72.page). If so it's held on by 4-10mm bolts, you may need to hold the pulley by the 21mm center bolt to undo those 10mm bolts. If, for some reason, you are trying to remove the crankshaft hub that the pulley bolts to I don't have a clue short of pulling the bottom of the engine appart. IF the FSM is correct that bolt is set at 203 ft lbs of torque. Offhand I know of no reason to remove the hub as I suspect its functional bearings are the internal crank bearings. |

Since I'm a fan of the British Top Gear guys, I often refer to my own mechanic work as "an orangutan with a hammer" when working on cars. Amazingly, people outside my family still allow me to work on their vehicles. |
