Turns out I had two bad injectors that would fail intermittently.
I just got it back today, but all seems well.

The Jeep spent the last two weeks at the Tallahassee dealership being diagnosed.
They are an impressive dealership.
Hope a moderator will attach them to the Trusted CRD Mechanics thread.
The service manager delivered exactly what he stated.
The tech that worked on my vehicle was very thourough and methodical.
He even offered his cell number to me.

I would like to thank all of those who had offered thier advice months ago.

Well, first, congratulations on fixing a stumper! :JEEPIN: You may now pass 'Go' or anything your little tractor can out-accelerate...

Second, thank you for following up and adding to our collective ability to identify and solve similar problems in the future.

Any comments from the shop regarding the 'why'? Seem a bit unusual to lose two of them.. did a filter tear and let some junk through? How many miles?

Mark

Great for you. I don't want to stir the materialistic sense of this group but, would it be too much trouble to know what did the bill came out to be? :seuss:

Since it has been an issue for the last 4 years Jeep covered it as warranty work.
I didn't even ask how much it would have been. Just happy to have it fixed: finally!

I have 49000 miles on the vehicle and the tech couldn't tell me why they where bad.
I also had metallic glow plugs installed while it was there.
The tech said he cleaned the egr valve and it was really bad.
Glad I don't have to worry about that anymore thans to GDE.
