was at my local Advance Auto (in CT) this morning. They finally have Mobil 1 0w-40 in 5 qt containers ! Saves about $7 on an oil change. It also is on sale @ $32.99+ a free Mobil 1 oil filter, which saves another $12.99. Yay ME ! |

this is the "recommended" oil for the CRD, but I, like you, use Rotella T6. But it is also the recommended oil for the 2 VW's we have, (both gassers), so i do use the stuff. |

I, too, use the 0w40 M1. No problems whatsoever. It has VW ratings, and has a CF rating, good enough for our rigs. My .02 cents. Please, lets refrain from the oil debate, as I am sure this will stir some stuff up on the subject. To each their own on oil. 0w40 is good, 5w40 T6 is fine as well. Use either with confidence. |

Is the 0w-40 the same for the gasoline as it is the diesel? I have some left over in the garage from my Caliber SRT-4 I sold. Would love to use it. |
