2005 Jeep Liberty Limited CRD Located in Columbus Indiana 126,000 mi +/- New Rancor Filter Assembly Cummins Lift Pump EHM I'm the not so proud owner of a CRD that appears to have jumped time. Once it did I pulled over and had it towed. It will run if started but sounds like it's back firing through the intake. The interior is clean except for a 2 inch crack in the drivers side seat. Make a reasonable offer...I'm really just ready to find something that gets better gas mileage and isn't a huge PTA. PM me with an offer or if your interested. |

The upcoming Gasoline GDI engines (like Eco Boost) will not be any more maintenance forgiving than the CRD. GDI engines are not coming online to have a great running engine like they are, but an engine that can meet the emissions and fuel economy standards with out being a hamster on a hamster wheel. Good luck on finding the newer more reliable vehicle. Sir Sam is one of the Best Qualified to set a price on a used CRD. |

Is anyone close to us in southern Indiana that is willing to replace all the rocker arms on his CRD and get it going again. Why oh why don't we replace the timing belt at 100K so we don't risk braking timing belt and trashing the rocker arms. Are the rocker arms available now, or are they on back order from Chrysler? I have a nice barn big enough to do the work in Jeffersonville, IN (70 miles a way) if someone close wants to do the work, I would love to watch and learn. |

Agreed, it's quite surprising how many of these we see where the owners sig shows a list of mods and "improvements" as long as your arm yet they don't put the time and money into the stuff that's really required. Tunes, lift pumps, upgraded filter heads, EHM, Provent, SEGR etc etc are useless with a stripped timing belt. |

Glad I changed my timing belt at 125,000 miles....looks like 126,000 is the limit ;-0 Nah...I got very lucky...belt still "looked" very good but I definitely "feel better" after installing a new TB and Water Pump |

Should have posted sooner, I was in your area yesterday and could have done the job with my tools on the way through. |

Sam when are you going back out there? It will probably drive as good or better than new when it's fixed...... not so bad of a job. |

Sometime early next week, but I didn't bring my CRD specific tools with me(drove out to DC yesterday), and now I have to drive a CRD with failing TQ/tranny 1733 miles back to colorado......... |
