Dunno if anyone needs them, but I'm listing a set of GPs and controller on ebay. My CRD's tranny bit the dust a few days ago, and I'm not going to need them.
Dunno if it's against the rules, I didn't see anything that indicated that it would be, so here is the linky.

I figured the people most interested in them would be found here.

Why not have the tranny rebuilt? Where are you sending it to? I'm in the area.

Any idea what made the tranny bite it?

It can be rebuilt I'm sure, but I went ahead and traded it towards a Dodge Ram 2500 while it was still driving. The rebuild was massively cost prohibitive, since the CRD used a special tranny as opposed to the normal one on all other libbies.
I have no idea why if failed, but Chrysler products are known for having transmissions fail at a higher rate than others in my neck of the woods. Apparently there was issues with low pressure, and damaged solenoids. The problem only manifested during highway speeds where the transmission would drop into neutral and then get stuck in 4th gear until I would pull over, shut off the vehicle for at least 10 sec, and restart. For a guy that drives 35-40k a year, that's a pretty huge problem.

Also, if someone on the forum wants them, and isn't worried about the ebay protections, (I won't stiff you) I'll sell them to a member here for $100 shipped since that saves me the sellers fee and you guys were always super helpful to me.

I can certainly understand your postion. However, as a point of clarity for other's; the KJ diesel uses the 545RFE transmission which is by no means a special transmission. It has been used in several Jeep and Dodge models since at least 2001 and was used in production Grand Cherokees and Dodge Ram/Dakota/Durango up thru the 2011 model year.

Just guessing but complete rebuild kits appear to run ca. $500 and might or might not require dropping the tranny to install. Judging by what I paid SunCoast (parts included) to install their TC, transgo kit, service tranny and inspect tranny clutches, which required dropping the tranny, seems to me a complete tranny overhaul off the vehicle should be in the vicinity of $1500-2000 or a bit more if upgrading the TC was included.

What dealer did you trade it in to? How many miles did it have, and what other thing were wrong with it?
