So I grew up driving a standard and my last 3 vehicles have been a standard. Out of curiosity is there a standard tranny for the 05 06 jeep liberty? I would love to have one in my Jeep but all the libertys I have seen have had an automatic transmission in them.

In the U.S. at least, I think the answer is "no". :furious:

A fair number of manual transmission (6 speeds) were imported to Australia. A few of these have had clutch problems (eventually) and Jeep Australia don't stock the clutch kits (special order).

Europe and the rest of the world probably got the manual as well.

The ones I have seen are mostly 2006 and 2007s.

Most late model KJs here have a plug in the firewall for the clutch (it would be on your passenger side because we're right hand drive here).
