We are selling a very rare 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 3.0L CRD Turbo Diesel. This Jeep needs to have its engine rebuilt or replaced. It cranks but does not start and cannot be driven. It was in a flood, and water was sucked in through the intake. Aside from the engine, this Jeep is in very nice shape and everything works absolutely perfect. It is fully loaded with every available option including navigation with the back-up camera. We purchased this Jeep with the intent to fix it but we have too many other projects on our hands at the moment and could use the space. It comes with a PA salvage/flood title due to the engine damage. We have over 30 pictures of this Jeep on our website. Please see all the pictures for exact condition. It should clean up like new with a good detail. We can arrange delivery if needed. Please ask for a quote. We're also willing to accept credit cards for full/partial payment. Feel free to call us anytime with questions or to make arrangements to come see this vehicle. Call 516-543-4600 or text 516-428-5742. Thanks.

That will be the Mercedes engine as it pre-dates the VM V6 3L. Most likely hydrolocked and that's a death sentence for a CRD. The Mercedes engine cannot be rebuilt, the heads are a composite bonded construction (can only be replaced as a unit) and it does not have bore liners and cannot be rebored anyway. It will need a new engine, anything else and you'll just be burning money.

I had a friend who did that to his gc crd out in the swamp before he even made the first payment. The dealer quoted him 34k to replace his motor and tranny.

Nope, he was on a minimum maintenance road that his GPS listed so insurance paid it off.
