just sharing my experience with my 2.5 crd stalling, thought it might be air in fuel line fuel pump etc.my jeep stalled while driving and after being driven it wouldnt start after being parked a while.
it turned out to be the crank shaft sensor.lost its signal totally after the engine warmed up.
so there you go if you have this problem theres ya answer...

Did you get a CEL when it went bad?

I was going to ask the same thing. Mine didn't throw a check engine light when the crank sensor went bad.

So, when the crank sensor goes bad, will the engine not start at all? Will it throw a fault code?
