I bought my CRD on 5/29/11 with 88,737 miles on it. In a few days I'll have owned it a year, have put about 24,000 miles on it. I'm due to install new metal 7v glows (on order already), Samcos (just received them), plus check ball joints and other suspension components, I have a rattle when going over bumps. I plan to get the timing belt changed out fairly soon as well. I love this vehicle. I knew I'd enjoy the easy driving and maneuverability of it after having driven a Suburban for a few years, plus the diesel economy. What has surprised me is how comfortable a highway vehicle it is, turning low rpm at highway speeds, fairly quiet for a little SUV, very comfortable seating position. The 4,000 lb. towing performace is pretty impressive as well, fun to pull boats around with it in the summer. It's a great package, really enjoying all aspects of the CRD! |

Happy Anniversary, glad you are enjoying your ride. I note that at 112,000+ miles, you are overdue for that timing belt. Do not delay it; you will not be happy with the results should it break on you. |

Did you do the Eco Tune or did it come with it? I'll put the Eco Tune in my rig when I get back to Santa Fe in July - I can't wait! I agree with you abotu the RPMs on the freeway - fantastic feeling, having the engine lope along like that. Chamba |

I added the Eco Tune a few weeks after I bought it, then a few weeks after that installed the TCM tune. The Eco is worth every penny, takes the vehicle to a whole new level. Agreed on the timing belt. I think I'm going to install the euro torque converter, will have a local mechanic do the belt and converter at the same time. |

Cool glad your loving your CRD. It will be 3 years for me soon and I would be crushed to have to part with it. Nothing can replace it but another CRD jeep. I have not done a lot to mine. GDE tune and Provent are my main mods other than new Rubber. I think Samco hoses and a lift will be next. I have had little trouble so far too. I use the Jeep every day too it's my only vehicle and been serving me well. I love how it drives and is easy to maneuver. I will be towing the pop up I got last fall on its first trip of around 100 miles yhis weeked. I'm sure that will go well. |

While you are getting the TB and torque convertor done have the motor mounts checked. That may be your rattle. Do the TB as immediately as possible |

Is there a way for me to check motor mounts, or can't see them without a teardown? |

Not that I know of but the passenger side one is the most prone to failure and removal is not too hard. See http://www.greendieselengineering.com/f ... t/115.page once off shake it, if it rattles it's bad. |
