Hmmm...date is wrong on my camera...oh well

It's installed!!!.. The shop charged me 15 for the glasspack and 25 for labor!!!

The sound is almost un-noticable. It's just loud enough to hear over the front engine noise.

The power gain!!!! OMG....it takes off like crazy now. The turbo lag is nearly non-existant. I hammered the throttle a few times on the way home while going about 20 mph and the ESP had to kick in each time!!!

I'll see in a few weeks how it affects the mileage but i highly recomment the cheap old glass pack!

it's a 4" glass pack with 2.5" inlet/outlet.[/img]

Does it sound like a vacuum cleaner when you step on the throttle?

I ended up removing my glass pack and going to a hi-flow traditional muffler to avoid the "whoosh"...it wasn't nice turbo sound...it sounded like a vacuum at times.

actually ours did the "whoosh" with the stock muffler. It didn't change the way the turbo sounded.

I miss the turbo whistle our VW's had when the mufflers were removed. I can hardly tell any difference in sound of the OEM and Flowmaster mufflers, although there is a big difference in spool up of the turbo.

You miss the whistle? Roll down the windows and drive through a tunnel or inside one of these parkdecks, the whistle is very loud. Im talking about a stock CRD here.

I'm running a Flowmaster 40 on otherwise bone stock CRD and I have as yet to hear it whitsle, the VW's you could hear them at idle. Maybe I should have a straight through muffler instead of the Flowmaster.

I can hear the whistle on mine before the glass pack. Now it's just a little more noticeable.

My wife can't hear it at all but she has 70% hearing loss in one ear.

Yeah, I went to a glass pack too for like $50.00 installed. Forget paying for an Aero! I think a glasspack is the best way to go. All ya who bought Aero's are suckers.

So you wouldn't recommend the Glasspack?

I put on a Flowmaster 50 very very quiet and about 1-2 mpg increase with combination city and freeway driving, haven't taken it on a trip yet. Cost $ 140.
