Thanks

A bad#2 glow plug its shorted or the wiring is shorted. You can download the DTC's on this website. Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply Randy.

I reset the code but it was back almost instantly.

I was wondering about a few things.
Are there any tests that I can perform to assure that the glow plug has gone south, and it is not in fact a wiring issue.
Am I harming anything driving it?
I have heard of glow plugs falling apart and leaving remnants rattling around cylinders, is this fault capable of that?
What are the costs associated with a new set of glow plugs, this is my first diesel but I am fairly handy with a wrench, so would handle the change out myself.
I am running the GDE eco tune can the flash necessary after glow plug replacement be done by GDE?
What are the best glow plug options out there?
Being in Canada I am sure to be raped on parts prices.
Anyone whom has changed them out I would like to hear from as to any pitfalls as well as DON'T do that's.
Thanks
AL

There's a 4-pin plug in the wire harness going to the glow plugs. It's visible behind the alternator in the dipstick area if I recall. You can unplug that and measure each pin for resistance to ground. The good plugs will be less than 1 ohm and a bad one will be much higher.
