If it is the original fuel head I would change it. Sounds like there may have been a air pocket got thru to the injectors. If it was an injector problem it should have also stored which one.and would not have cleared up.

Ok drove the jeep to town today to do a few things and leaving wallymart jeep was definately missfireing so i pulled over popped hood expecting to find a cac hose off or some Thing but nothing seemed to be out of place except for my hose going to the boost gauge witch had popped off from the violent engine movement! But there was a little air in fuel could this cause the missfire? Oh and there was no cel but the code p0300 did show up in the reader. Any help is appreciated! |

P0300 code is Misfire Detected Possible Causes Engine Compression Fuel Injector Quantity Injector Leakage Also should be a code as to which/ what cylinder it is/was P0301 cylinder 1 P0302 #2, P0303 #3 P0304 #4. Above is out of the 05 Diesei Powertrain Diagnostic Procedures, which you can download from this site as well. Hope this helps Did the misfire stop after you reinstalled the hose? |

Jeep has almost 130000 timing belt was changed by a local mechanic roughly 8000 miles ago so probably not skipped time. Thing was after got air out fuel and it sat for probably 10 minutes it started up and ran fine like nothing ever happend. As for a code all that showed up was p0300 and nothing else im using the gde scan tool. So am i to assume its my fuel head as i think its the original? |

Thanks for the help. I think i found where the air was coming from! I just happend to give the fuel filter a twist and noticed it was loose it went about two turns till it snugged up again hopefully that was the promblem! Thanks again! |

Make sure you do not have any old gaskets from a old filter stuck on the head. |
