This morning after firing the Liberty up via remote start, which it didn't fire right away like normal, the CEL popped on. She's going in to the doctor in the morning to find out what it is. Who wants to be EGR? She just rolled over 7k this past weekend with no previous issues. Gas mileage has been normal ~21....

I've had several instances where mine would not fire up right away. My friend has a CRD and every once in a while his won't either. His actually tripped the MIL indicator, but he was so busy with work that he never took it in, and it reset itself after a week. Neither of us have had any real problems.

Startup time with a diesel is not consistient at all (very temperature dependent) and a remote start is probably not the most fail-safe way to ensure it starts.

I may be wrong, but I thought there was a TSB out about the remote start that requires a flash upgrade or a part change out or both. You might want to run through them and see before you head into the dealer.
