When ever I have my ac on it always makes the belt squeals the ac works fine but only when idling it doe's it now if you barley give it gas and bring the Rpm's up even about 100 it stop's it only doe's it while idling on its own other then that it work's fine there's a brand new serpentine belt and tensioner installed. Also I was driving threw town today and my cluster beeped and the lighting volt kept flashing untill I restarted my jeep what doe's that mean?

If you watch the belt while the jeep is idling, does it seem to be jerking and bouncing? The clutch on the alternator may be failing (or have failed) and causing this - or, one of your idlers is seizing, or alternator itself failing?

The lightening bolt can indicate a battery / charging system issue - kind of reinforced by the squealing. Could be the slipping belt is not spinning the alternator fast enough? Check your battery cables too, and if you have a voltmeter check @ idle and expect 13.6VDC or more - if it's around 12.6VDC or less you have a charging issue.

If you take the belt off, you might see if the A/C spins freely? Could be a bearing there...

Especially if you've a new belt and tensioner - the squeal means something's wrong and has the potential to cause a lot more issues if not identified and fixed soon. Perhaps this weekend? ; ' )

Not to be alarmist, but as an example, one forum member had the serp (accessory) belt break and wrap around the crank pulley long enough to jerk the crank - apparently breaking the timing belt (inertia's a b**ch) and taking rocker arms with it.

So... don't let er' slide.

Mark

Actually it is caused by too high pressure in the AC line. This is caused by not enough airflow thru the radiator. You probably have a mechanical or electric fan problem.
I know because I have this same issue. I have no mechanical fan... I removed it! But when I have the engine lifted to install the new mounts. I'll be putting that dang fan back in.

Ok thanks guys I'll check all those today and the E-fan only works sometimes when the ac is running Is it suppose to be like that? I never considered that could be causing it to do it

The noise sounds like it is coming from the alternator can the alternator only make that noise when the ac is running?

Sounds like the alternator decoupler pulley on your alternator might be shot.
