I have done both the EHM and the ORM to my vehicle about 8 months ago. As is stated here, the vehicle threw a CEL but I just left it. The vehicle has been running very well since (2005 CRD Limited with 82000 miles). However in the last month, the CEL has disappeared. That particular light comes on during the startup procedure, but does not stay on like it did when I made the modifications. Should I be worried about this? Will it still light up if I have another problem other than the MAF sensor not being plugged in? It may just be my own paranoia, but I am worried something else is going on here. The only other issue I have is the Electronic Throttle Control indicator comes on randomly, but when I stop and cycle the engine, it goes away so I don't worry too much about that. Please reassure me, if you can, that I am not having something more serious going on here.

if you left your MAF plug resting on the connector it might have slipped back down and is not making contact, or maybe someone plugged it back in for you?

maybe double check that its still unplugged?

Sounds funny but that happenned to me. My mechnical neighbor repluged mine when I left the hood open and walked away. He noticed it was taped next to the connector and thought he was doing a favor. No big problem but a surprise to me. I just knew my wife didn't do it.

Well this is embarassing. I checked again and it was plugged in. Must have occurred when I had the A/C serviced. Thanks again for reminding me to never assume anything.
