Perhaps but the price is not bad if someone wants to install the stock convertor (e.g. the 2005/06 OEM one that superseded the one with the plastic part) but doesn't want to spring for a Euro. Not sure who would want to do that but...

A tiny portion of an already very small market. I guess they may be worth considering if you've got one that's dying and are planning on selling or trading the vehicle and can install it yourself.

My Jeep has been built with that TC since it was built right after the recall date. It works fine if you don't abuse your Jeep such as towing in high gear, adding a chip or tune. I have over 110,000 miles on mine and still going strong.
