Exactly, that is what a thermistor is. I would stay as far away as I can from ChinaZone and their Walmart rejects that they have to assist you. I took my son to NAPA and he was surprised that they sold mostly parts and tools in their aisles instead of car bling.

I thought it is referred to as a Mass Air Pressure (hence MAP) sensor......so where does the "pressure" part come into play?

It is a combo sensor that measures manifold pressure and temperature in one unit.

How does it do this? Does it take the IAT and some how formulate the 2 temps into pressure? Or is the pressure able to squeeze it?

There is a thermistor (IAT) and a pressure sensor (MAP) in the unit.

NAPA sells the part too for around $60. I was surprised to open up the package to find that the part actually was made by Bosch...Eichlan or something like that is the brand Napa sold it under.
