I just wanted to say hello to everyone and share a picture or two of my new Liberty CRD. I have been reading/learning here for about a week and finally picked the Libert up tonight. I'm a former VW TDI driver who took a short sabatical with an '06 Honda Civic....hated it and went back to diesel after 6 months! I fell like i'm back home again!

Here are a couple of pics. She is a "leftover" new '05 Liberty Sport CRD with about every option one can get on a Sport, except for the tow package. I have put my own hitch on it already, though.

This is what my VW TDI towed effortlessly, my Honda could not (surprisingly)....and one of the reasons for my getting the CRD:

Nice looking CRD. Nice looking trailer too. Can't imagine it is too heavy for most anything to pull. What does it weigh?

Nice looking dog too.

I got 100% the same Liberty. Mine was a 05 left over too. First mod I did was 15% window tint in the front. Looks awesome all black.
Stopped by the muffler shop today and am thinking about getting a glasspack.

The trailer is about 800#. Building it was my summer project last year (i'm a teacher...summer off). The Honda had a hard time deciding what gear to be in.....overdrive had NO torque. It couldn't handle it.

I didn't even notice my dog in the picture before. That's Riley my Weimaraner. Shadow, the black lab, is running around in the yard somewhere too.

Window tint would look awfully sharp on this, wouldn't it. Hmmmmmmm.

I had to flip a quarter between black and lt. khaki. I owned a black pickup truck for 15 years and LOVED it! Everyone used to tell me, "doesn't it look dirty all the time?" But really, when clean, it's the sharpest thing on the road! Very nice! Very, Very, Nice! :D

Thanks, guys.

From what I have been able to tell so far, this is a pretty great forum. Very helpful....much like my experience used to be over at tdiclub.com. I was subscribing to a Honda forum since October when I had the Civic.....it was rediculous. Just a bunch of dumb kids and not helpful at all. It feels like I'm home again.
