My crankshaft pulley failed this week :- 0. I caught it before it came apart but now I need a replacement. Does anyone have a part number and/or source for getting a new one besides Fiat? Thanks for your help. |

Your other post on this suggests what you are referring to is the serpentine belt tensioner in which case the part # is 5072440AB. Note if just the pulley portion with the bearing failed that can be replaced with the same pulley as used for the 2 idler pulleys. |

It is not the serpentine tensioner, it is the actual crankshaft pulley that bolts to the crankshaft. This pulley provides the drive for the serpentine belt. Any help with a part number would be appreciated. |

Wow..that thing is heavy steel. What happened? Did it come loose? I would call the Jeep dealer and get P/N then look elseware. Even used. |

This pulley is ANOTHER designed point of failure for our little oil burners. The pulley has some sort of synthetic liner between the mount (the part that bolts to the crankshaft) and the actual pulley. My jeep has 112,000 and I guess it just decided it was time to fail. The "plastic" liner began to crack and come out of the space between the mount and the pulley. Nicked my serpentine belt and was "rattling"at idle. Not visibly loose or vibrating with the engine running just rattling. I will attach a picture to this post when I have a minute to do so. |

I've still got mine from the old engine - has 60k miles on it, should be in fine shape as it has been sitting in a box with my other parts since I tore that engine down. Let me dig around and try to find a price for you, and we can work something out. I agree that a boneyard might also not be the worst idea for this. |

OK, parts ordered on line. Better service than the dealer and a bunch cheaper. OEM pulley for $200 in the door and a Goodyear serpentine belt for $45 in the door. So another week of down time for my CRD and another $250 sunk into my little oil burner. My cost of $250 is a bit cheaper than the almost $500 the dealer wanted. |

Sorry I couldn't help out with mine, but as my engine decided soon after that it didn't like living any more... NOW I have one of these if someone else needs it. I've checked it, and the liner looks perfectly intact - no cracks. You got a great deal on the belt too, as apparently Mopar Parts America thinks the serp belt is worth $145 or so. What are they smoking to think those prices are acceptable? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |
