My CCV is pushing oil out over the back of the valve cover. I have the elephant hose mod. Anyway to fix this or do I need a new CCV, and if so whats the part #? |

I think the PN is 5114348AB but before replacing this it should not be leaking so I'd recommend 1. degrease the area and confirm exactly where the oil is coming from (guts of the CCV or from whatever gasket/grommet seals it to the engine) 2. perhaps more importantly since the system is relatively passive (eg. once the valve is open normal oil flow would be to the "T" in front of the turbo or with the EHM to wherever the EH goes) I'd look to see if the downstream part of the system is plugged and causing oil to back up and be pushed out of the CCV. This has been known to happen with frozen Provent systems and could certainly happen due to a pinched, plugged, collapsed EH. |

EH is clear and no pinch's. The oil is comeing from were the CCV gose in to the valve cover, so I'm guessing it's the gasket/grommet seal. Can I just replace them or do I need to buy a new CCV to get them |

I don't know the answer to that question but if the EH is clear and the leak is below the CCV at the grommet I'd first try pulling the CCV, cleaning things up and reinstalling. If it's a grommet remove and clean too, if it's a gasket you can probably fab a new one from gasket material. That may fix the problem. If not the CCV looks to be a $30-40 part so try a replacement. |

I may have a diagram that I can bring over next time. Seems it started to leak when they tore the engine apart due to the mishap, right? If so, it may be the grommet. |

The CCV seals to the valve cover with 2 large green oil-resistant o-rings. You should be able to source those at just about any hose and hydraulic shop in your area. E dealer will be (as usual) clueless about this, and only want to sell you the entire CCV. That puck has a spring loaded flap in the top of it that closes ONLY under strong suction from the turbo (if it is connected as stock) but since you have an EHM, then the hose should be able to vent continuously. Brake cleaner makes a very good cleaner spray for the valve cover, just let it evaporate for a bit before reassembly. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |

Well cleaned out the CCV with brake clean and put new o-rings on, and it still was leaking. Could not find any cracks in it. Got a new CCV seems the leak has stopped. By the way a new CCV dose not come with the O-Rings |
