I'm going to be installing my Frankenlift within a week or so, but I'm also getting new tires (245/75R16 GY Duratrac C rated). I have only so many free hours between now and when I need to have everything complete for ECS, so I don't think I can wait till after the lift to install the tires. The question is: Can I run that size (assuming no lock-to-lock manuvers in the parking lot or large speed bumps) for a few days without the lift? Has anyone done so and how tight is it exactly? i'm hoping for some first-hand CRD experiences since the factory ride height is a little different than on the 3.7. Oh, and the wheels are the factory 16" 5-spoke mags. I've heard their offset is a little more favorable to putting on larger diameters than the steel wheels are. Dan |

I had those on my CRD a few years back when I got new tires. They will rub a little bit on different things, to the point where they might rub through the plastic splash shields. Beware the pinch seam. You would probably be ok for a few days. |

Hi, I ran my CRD with 245/75R16 MT for about 6 mths before getting the lits and I was sitting at 17.5 inc!!!. Yes there will be some rubbing and if you wheel it you might get some body damage, but you can always install immediately longer rear bumpstops to avoid that in the mean time at the back. For the front just don't go full lock when turning and you should avoid too much rubbing against the swaybar. After all you are only going to be a couple of week before fitting the lift. Fil. |

Thanks for the responses. I just stopped by home and there's a couple boxes from AllJs in the driveway, so I guess the question is probably moot Dan |

So on this same topic(sort of) I have a 2.5" Frankenlift with Yokahama 265/70/R16. Both tires rub turning right and left-Is there a "stop" of some sort to keep this from happening? Thanks! Ken |
