I (read: my wife) am very concerned about a possible ball joint failure. We had a ball joint go on a 93' Accord at 45 MPH on an off ramp. We ended up in that pretty grassy area between the interstate, the overpass, and the off-ramp. Needless to say, in a Liberty that might not go as well as the Accord did. Do the moogs help resolve this problem? Has anyone had issues with the aftermarket ball joints? I am looking for a preventive measure that will keep us and our Jeep on the road and out of trouble! Thanks!

I'd probably post this on the KJ 4x4 main forum, there are more people that look into that, this right here is more diesel specific. I am not sure, but I remember hearing something about Al's upper control arms (which include the ball joint I believe) and they are supposed to be pretty good, and greaseable.

That is not the ball joint in question...it is the Lower Ball Joint

Here is a quick link to a thread in the FAQ section, with good info & pics. Hope this helps!

Don't worry about it. Safe to say this is a forum within a forum.

 I know! Seriously - I only look at this section. Between the mileage, the tourque, the turbo, the intake, the TC, the TSBs, and the rediculous questions at the pump - you guys are the only ones that understand.
