Man some days it's tough to love your CRD. Just spent a wheelbarrow full of cash getting some rockers replaced. Along the way did all of the extras so that I could live maintenance free for awhile. Everything except for the CAC hoses because they felt and looked good. Had it out of the shop for a week, WOOSH outlet hose split. I guess now I have fixed all the weak spots. I am surprised at how much air that the turbo pushes, I should have known but it did catch me off guard. |

Pretty obvious what the problem is when that hose really let's go, isn't it! The sneaky ones are where you get a smaller hole on the underside and wonder where the boost is going, why it's smoking and losing power, getting codes - and don't hear enough air leaving the hose to home in on the problem. That can be a real pain... ; ' ) Sounds like you should be good to go for a while, now! Mark |
