So here is the outcome, I moved the spare to the front right side and moved the FR tire to spare position and it still displayed low press spare?
What a stupid design, my Sprinter never complains when I added a new TPMS to the spare and rotated it around.
Since I hate being at the mercy of dealers, I took the old TPMS sensor that I broke, and soldered the wire back to the screw on the stem, put it in the spare, then I had low tire pressure and the low tire light on the cluster illuminated as well.
Disgusted, I drove the Jeep into the garage for the night and thought, I am going to have to visit the dealer.
So today in a last ditch effort I thought go for the 10 minute ride and see what happens, well it all cleared in less then 10 minutes, so I stopped, powered off, removed the key, put it back in and ta da! No more problems.
So the sensor is going back to Rock Auto, in the future I hope to have the TPMS system disabled, as it is just another feature for idiots that never check things, or can not figure out why their vehicle develop a pull to the left of the right all of a sudden.
