While some of the parts are specfic to the CRD (ex. compressor) the system design and function, as far as I know, is pretty much the same as most any other of today's automotive AC systems. Your issue could be as simple as a bad pressure switch or the "freon" charge level (FYI on today's systems, as opposed to older sys tems, just adding "freon" is often not the best approach with the possible exception of when you have poor cooling as opposed to no cooling).
Best bet may be to take it to a good auto AC place for a system check.
