As far as I know just a factory receiver hitch and prewired trailer lighting with a MOPAR round to flat plug adapter. |

The stock CRD came with the heavy duty stuff already ![]() But if you order the one or two cables (depending on if you have a factory installed EVIC) YOU WILL NOT get the nice 7 pin to flat 4 adapter ![]() IF yours came from the factory with an EVIC installing the towing harness is a walk in the park. Otherwise....... Your next question is going to be what does having a factory installed EVIC have to do with a towing package ![]() The answer is because when you have the factory EVIC wiring for some reason certain wires necessary for the towing harness are already in the plug in the right rear quarter panel. Otherwise they are not and you need the "supplemental harness":banghead: When our CRD's were new many years ago this was a hot topic ![]() Don't get hung up on the adapter, Harbor Freight has them for about $10 or in my case my Wife's used XJ came with one ![]() |

When I purchased my 06 Liberty CRD a number of years ago there were three CRDs at another nearby dealer one with out a toeing pack. I never understood why anyone would order a Jeep without a TP even if you didn't own a trailer. There is always a point when a TP is handy. Maybe to pull someone out of a ditch or get pulled out. Anyway the dealer offered to put a TP on the Jeep I didn't by. Why pay extra for a TP when you can buy a Jeep with a factory installed one. I know I'm glad I got the TP. Just my ![]() |

Just my ![]() maybe none were available with the tp as was the case when i was looking. Some here in the past incorrectly "assummed" they were standard equiptment. It's all in what the dealer ordered. |

Towing pkg was definitely an option as my 05 Sport did not come with one, got it installed as part of the purchase price, but my 05 Limited did come with the OEM TP installed as did stoutdog's 06 Limited. Joe is right what you got on a Sport or Limited varied quite a bit depending on what was put on as each vehicle came down the line. To what extent the dealer "asked" for things to be put on I don't know nor do I know if any were custom built (ie buyer ordered with certain options installed). It's not a big deal to add a good receiver hitch but, as noted, wiring things correctly can be a challenge depending on w/wo EVIC. |
