Hi, Can someone confirm that the transfer case our CRD uses it the N242 and more importantly, that a 242 transfer case from a gasser or other year model is the same as the 242 on our CRDs? I have an 06 CRD and am looking fora replacement xfer case. Thanks! Drew |

my 2006 uses the n242 transfer case. I inspected it when we had the transmission and the transfer case out from under the machine |

Yup it is a 242, and a 242 from a gas KJ will bolt up with zero mods though it must be a 242 from a KJ and not from a XJ,ZJ,or WJ as those bolt up but need some mods to work. |

Yes its the 242 and you need one from a KJ as a 242 from other jeeps is a bit different.....but you can make it work. |
