I had a OME lift kit on my first CRD.

I have replaced the one I rolled in September.
The Jeep I just bought has a "budget lift kit" on it and it is all over the road

I am familiar with OME and Frankenlifts. Has anyone used the kits built by Jeepin by Al? http://jeeplibertyliftkits.com

Well built system. Considerably more $ than my OME kit.

So... are there any members that are familiar with this kit. I have to get the budget system gone. My new CRD has 130,000 miles on it so the springs could very well be shot?

Thanks

Tom

If your interested in ARB equipment, shocks, springs, etc., there is a reliable company out of Quebec that is substantially cheaper then competitors. Great service and willing to answer questions regarding products.

Peace,

Thomas

Thomas,

And who might that be?

Recently, I had the opportunity to see and inspect the JBA Coil-Overs on Marlin's Jeep. All I can say is WOW! Very well constructed and thought out. As I am in dire need of replacing/changing my suspension components, I have been comparing the OMEs to the JBA C/Os.
I am (was?)planning on installing the OMEs, and have purchased the full kit, but after seeing the C/Os, I'm a little undecided now. Might just have to upgrade.
The C/Os are more money, but in my opinion, stand head and shoulders above anything else that I am aware of.

P.S. Perhaps I am a little jaded. I have been running a road course Mustang all Summer with a set of high-end C/Os and have come to realize what all the advantages are. Does my Jeep need C/Os? That is what I am trying to decide.

Hope this helps. (Translation=If you can afford it, get the C/Os!)

The KJ already comes from the factory with coilovers.

Ok tjkj, you are absolutely right, so to be more specific-adjustable coil-overs!

From what I have learned and know about suspensions, I don't think it is quite so important to be able to fine tune a Jeep suspension, but it sure would be nice to have that option.

The OME kit I had on my first CRD was fine. I needed a lift and that took care of that. Marlin's offer to provide a kit that duplicates a $50,000.00 auto is nice too.
The additional $$$ is another question altogether.

The "budget lift" the previous owner did this CRD is awful !!! The side to side motion is down right scary. With the OME kit I had zero issues with that type of ride.

tjkj2002, I agree on whether being able to adjust the spring set is worth much to the average or above average KJ/CRD driver :SOMBRERO:

I used my first CRD as a daily trailer hauler pulling miscellaneous steel work all over NC and it did a super job! Until I get the suspension issues solved she's only good for wiggling around NC's curvy country roads!

Thanks,

Tom

I would really like to do a OME lift, what is the best or your recommended springs, shocks and struts to get this done.

Cheers!
