Hello. I hit a deer a while back and it cracked my intercooler's left tank. The radiator shop said it could not be fixed because the crack was in the area where the bracket connects to the tank. They tried a repair anyway but it blew out. I need either a tank or an entire intercooler. Do any of yall know a source for this? The Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealer told me it was nearly $600 from them. The rest of the front end is repaired and all that was damaged was the grill assembly and intercooler. Thanks!

That's not a bad price. If I have the PN (5143020AA) the online price is right at $500 +shipping which would likely run it up close to $600. You might could find one thru http://car-part.com/ from like my old 05 that got totaled from the rear. Alternatively you could email BlackSkyRacing (viewtopic.php?uid=45316&f=5&t=72029&start=0) and see how his quest for an all aluminum intercooler is going; might not be cheaper but would be stronger.

A good welder could fab a tank out of aluminum and weld it to the core or you could JB Weld it to the core. If you know a good welder, that is an option, just give him the price on the new one and if he is interested in doing the fix, he will quote a price. .
If not, you are stuck buying the new one.
