So, tonight the wife was driving the kid somewhere and she had to make a U-turn. When she did, there was a thump or bang as if a tire had blown. She pulled over and checked - tires all look fine.

She got back in and drove a bit further and said it sounded and felt like driving on a flat tire - coming from the driver's side front. She took it out of 4 wheel drive and same issue. When hitting the brakes there is also a big clunk from the drivers side front.

I think it is probably a busted drive axle/CV, but thought I'd get a sampling of you guys' opinions so when I take it to the shop I can at least sound like I know what I'm talking about.

I'd suspect either than or a busted motor mount.
