Greetings from Croatia (Europe) i have been away for a while but i´m back. I was wondering is there any spec differences on our vehicles sold in these markets. My Lyberty/Cherokee was bought brand new in Canada and then shipedd to Croatia. I am asking this because i love reading this forum, and all i found is that majority has problems which we in europe do not have. I was wondering if maybe diesel fuel is the biggest problem (not clean enough) for you that live in US. Correct me if i am wrong. |

The emission standards are the biggest difference. Tier 2, Bin 10 in US verses Euro IV in Europe. There is much less use of EGR and engine throttling in the Euro tune. The fuel quality difference drove a design change to the injectors used in north America. Hardened coatings on high pressure ports/valving inside the injector and fuel pump were necessary due to the worse lubricity fuel. |

Is there any possible problem that i could face due to euro V fuel using in canadian spec liberty. I am now at 50tkm, no mods, no problems. I also use mobil 1 0W-40 New Life, although manuel for euro CRD cherokee kj says mobil 1 ESP 5W-30. Which oil is better ? Big thanks to GDE for previous answer. |

Using Euro fuel is better for the engine in general, so no worries there. You can use many oils in the KJ CRD engine. The ESP is specified for model year 2010 and up or on any engine equipped with a particulate filter. No DPF, no need for ESP oil. |
