CRD has a loud roar at highway speeds, thought it was the tires they have about 2/3 wear, but had them rotated and it didn't get any better. The roar doesn't increase on acceleration, just is consistently loud at highway speeds. Any thoughts? I'm at 140,000 miles |

Front wheel bearings? Although if they rotated your tires and didn't notice it, I have to wonder about the tire shop... |

if the tire wear is matched, rotating won't change it much, if at all. for a test try increasing pressure about 5-10 psi (for a short distance) just to see if the sound changes. If it's tires - the noise will be different if it's bearings - it'll sound the same. |

I'm trying to decide what wheel hub unit bearings to go with on my Liberty. Rock Auto has several options. Raybestos Professional Grade - 102 per side Timken - 141/144 each Moog - 155 per side SKF - 203 per side Any input on the different options? So far as I see, they're all 12 month warranty. Is there another recommended brand/source to go with? Also while doing this is there anything else that you should do? Brake pads since they calipers are off, etc? |

That was my first thought too, but wasn't sure if there was any reason to go with the Moog. Are all Timken products still USA? |

I need a new right front wheel bearing as well and experience alittle bit of roar when driving. I would go with the timkin They're only about $140 or somting in that range on amazon. Just search the part number from the parts store website. http://www.amazon.com/Timken-HA599455R- ... =HA599455R as opposed to the autozone price http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/ ... ing=search you can look around. Amazon has some good prices on parts and Ive had good experiences using them. |

I would trust them over most other brands. There are several large Timkin manufacturing operations in Ohio one about 15 min away from where I live. |
