I have a 2005 CRD with approx 110K. I have the OME coil lift with Rancho shocks all around. I started to notice excessive wear on the inside of the front tires. When I had the alignment done , after the coil lift, the tech stated he could not get the camber within factory specs, just sightly outside the parameters. I have also noticed her front end is starting to "jiggle" more (couldn't think of a better way to state it...... :D ). I did add a grill guard a few months back. I was about to order upper/lower CAs, lower BJs, and while I'm there going to replace the swaybar links. Was going to order the Raybestos brand parts. Am I headed in the right direction to correct this or?????

Some more info;
2005 CRD aprox 110K (TB, H2O pump, T-Stat, etc done @ 100K)
OME coils (ones recommended for the CRD)/Rancho shocks (front/rear). A "budget lift"
2 rings for added clevis lift
1 coil pad for extra rear lift
soft 8's with 30X9.50R15LT General Grabbers

Post-OME lift, my camber was right at the limit of adjustment also... solved with some JBA upper control arms 8)

Thought about the JBAs. But the price might be an issue. Could I get away with just replacing the upper CAs with JBA CAs?

After lifting you need to get the alignment checked/set every few months as the coils will settle.Just doing it once right after lifting is just asking for major tire wear.Anytime you add weight or take away any weight of 50lbs or more you should have the alignment checked/set.Regardless you should have your alignment checked/set every 6 months,perferred,or at least once a year with a IFS vehicle.


In the last 5 years I've had my KJ on the alignment rack about 50 times just to make sure,heck for $74 it is worth it,my cost on Firestone lifetime alignment package as an employee.

As I said the tech could not get the camber into specs, so continuing to align it "out of spec" doesn't seem like a good plan. My question here is what can I do to get it to align correctly? It appears that JBA UCAs, and new lower BJs may be the better route or is replacing upper/lower CAs and BJs the better route? I am concerned that if I replace with all OEM components I still may not get it to align within specs and money wasted. Is there any adjustment to the front carriage assy I can do/check?

After the coils settle some and they learn how to adjust a lifted KJ you will get camber back into spec,even with OEM arms.Now catser is another story but that angle does not wear tires.Always sacrific caster for camber.
