Your keyboard appears to be stuck on Caps Lock....please have a look at it as I would hate to have members here think that South Africans are a bunch of shouters.

Anyhow, welcome to the board, what part of SA are you from? You need to carefully check the wires going to the sensor on the diff...the wires have been known to break inside the connector where you cannot see the break.

Then you need to measure the resistance of the sensor using a Multi-meter should be in the region of about 100 Ohms but I am guessing here.

Then replace the sensor with a new one.

I had this exact problem with my 2002 2.5 CRD which was just a loose connector on the diff.

After fixing the loose connection...the speedo would still not work until I had traveled for about a week when the system cleared the error so bear this in mind.

You can check the function of the gauges and lights on the cluster by holding down the "Trip" button on the odometer while turning on the ignition...the panel lights will light up and the gauges will swing back and forth so at least you can see if the gauges basically work.

If you do not come right, get back to us here on the forum and I will supply you with a link to the circuit diagrams...if you have a look at SAMS NOOB Guide....essential for CRD owners...you will see the link to the Service Manuals (with circuit diagrams) there. :D
