I was just searching and came across these....
http://www.mishimoto.com/jeep-liberty-2 ... 05-06.html

I also found them on ebay.....
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MISHIMOTO-Radia ... 0837371672

I've run Mishimoto radiators before never had a problem with them. Might be another option for the stock replacements.

They fit great, I have a red set, my wife ordered them by mistake when I asked her to get me Samco Hoses because they looked similar and they were about $7 cheaper for the set.

I just ordered a set of the Red Mishimoto MMHOSE-LIBT-05Rd From Amazon, Last night on the way home I noticed I didn't have any power, I was slowing to near 40MPH up hill. When I got home I found this.
Image

I am a little surprised I have made it this long have a little over 145K on the originals. I had planned to order the Samco Hoses but I am in a hurry and can get the Mishimot next day with saterday delivery for only 8 dollars shipping through amazon. The lifetime warranty is a good draw too, They say no fault for any reason including accidents they will replace the hoses we will see.

It's all about the quality demands of the company having the hoses manufactured, presumably in Asia, buy with caution. I have seen the "same product" come out of the same factory with an amazing disparity in quality between the two... even between prototype and production versions of the same required specifications.

For 9 months, while working for a Subaru performance "manufacturer," the bane of my existence was quality control, or lack thereof, from the vendor's factory in Thailand. It seemed I was always putting out fires, doing warranty exchanges, and basically doing my best to make the customer happy and not deface the company or ownership, all while not compromising my morals... it was a difficult juggling act. Because of this, I doubt I will stray beyond a known quality product from a reputable manufacturer just to save a couple dollars. I am sure they are just fine, but with over 35k on my Samcos, and not a peep of an issue, I would be hard pressed to suggest anything else.

I guess I just see the <$10 difference to be worth paying up for the added insurance.

YMMV

Let me guess....that was the driver's side CAC to intake hose on the underneath side where it connects to the intake. That was exactly where my split was just over a year ago. Split looks identical too.

Yes Drivers side, Where it connects to the FCV. On the underside. And I could hear a roaring air sound under slow speed acceleration with the window down.

Rich I understand the quality concern and wouldn't want to jeopardize quality for price. In my case I am comfortable with Mishimoto as a company and know they usually produce high quality radiators and components. Samco is well know and also very reputable, I hope to provide a good review of the Mishimotos but only time will tell.

My CRD was in the shop when the Mishimoto hoses arrived so I delivered them to my mechanic for installation.
He was familiar with the brand, said I made a good choice, and also mentioned he has a set on one of his personal vehicles.
I've put 3,000 miles on them and so far so good. They passed the 'quality appearance test'.

I ordered black color but blue arrived and I like the blue now that they are installed.
Good luck receiving the right color!

I am not questioning the quality of the Mishimoto per say, I am just hesitant in general at this point in my life. I HOPE they work out perfectly, fitment is great, and the color doesn't fade... it will be nice to have a viable option beyond Samco!
