I've had this happen on a couple of occasions. Shortly after starting my engine, driving a few car lengths, my engine loses power, shutters when I try to accelerate. If I shut down it runs okay. No engine light. Am I alone with problem? Had this before and after a couple of reoccurrences it quit permanently, had to replace computer.

It sounds like you have air in your fuel, probably at the filter. I would check that your filter is tight and that none of the plugs at your filter head are wet with fuel. If not you may just need a new filter. Also check that the bleed screw is tight.

Howdy Skip - Welcome to LOST

go through the Noob guide http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=604519#p604519

Sam has a lot of good information - including comments about the Fuel head (and it does sound like an air leak of some kind)

Thanks, I'll check that out. Wonder why it goes away with restart?

Your fuel filter could be getting old and doing its' job.
A lift pump gets rid of the air leaks and by adding positive pressure helps the fuel flow through better.
