I know most of the more senior people here already know the air filtration on this tractor is insufficient. I replaced the filter last spring, and got a call from my wife today on her way to work reporting no power and people flipping her off for blocking traffic. From previous experience, I knew it was the filter, so I bought one on the way to look at it.

The darn box was packed full of dried grass and paper towels. I just cannot understand why they can't make these things able to tolerate things like a mouse's nest in the airbox. Maybe it's time to fit the inlet with a steel screen?

My wife blames me for the all the issues with this vehicle, but then again I always come out the hero when I already know what to do. :SOMBRERO:

it sounds funny - but if you park outdoors/countryside - it can be an issue (they also chew on the wiring)

I replace my airflter every oil change. Its cheap insurance considering how much airvolume flows thru the filter.

I did miss that. I attribute the invasion to the cold snap we've had recently, and the fact the cat is being kept indoors because of the cold.
