Hi i am planning a major service of transmission s& replacing the spin on filter along with sump filter & 14 quarts of Valvoline ATF +4 fluid. Now i am little confused about options available in terms of filters i can go with Mopar for 50 bucks or Napa for 35 and Wix for 35 bucks for 2 filters & pan gasket, so what will be better to get it done? thanks.

I use the Wix, you may want to install a drain plug hole while you have the pan out. Also 14 qts. may be if you're tearing out the TC too. A standard fluid change is about 6.5 qts. though the service manual I think says 4qts. ATF+4 is the correct stuff, most people buy the WalMart brand because the understanding is that all ATF+4 is made at the same plant. When you're refilling, check the dip stick often as to not overfill.

I use the Wix also. They never failed me yet. I use the Castrol ATF-4. Can't recall how much, but the fluid in the torque converter will not drain out.

Some people on here have let their transmission drain for an extended period the front wheels on ramps and have got 9 quarts out of it.
