Well, yesterday I added 8 ounces of MMO to a full tank of diesel, my intent is to use it as a top end cleaner and not as a lube, I run pump biodiesel for that whenever I can or Power Service.
I drove it for 230 miles so far and noticed that the engine sounds a lot quieter with a quicker response of the throttle.
The EVIC doesn't like it though, the mileage dropped.
I am amazed at how the diesel tappet sound is now less noisy and the engine smoothed out. .
I'm not sure how this stuff, when added to the fuel, quieted the tappets.
Maybe you are trying to say that is somehow quieted the diesel knock/combustion sound?
Tappet noise is more directly related to engine oil.
So, maybe the MMO is helping to clean the carbon off the combustion chambers but not much else.
