Looks likes its getting a little slow around here, not as much posting activity lately. Are you guys giving up on these diesels? If this forum is going to slow down and you guys are selling off the CRD's I might as well sell mine also, I can't keep this little beast running with out this forum!!!! |

I know we're not planning on selling..any time soon..or late.. I just have to keep it running until it dies..200Kmiles or more.. egr doesn't work anymore..and crankcase doesn't vent into the intake.. someday the cat will go..at least on the inside..there's a couple of hundred dollars in scrap inside..so don't toss them out if you gut them -dkenny |

I know it's not interesting reading, but maybe "slow" is a good thing, maybe we aren't having as many problems with our CRDs recently. I think this forum is alive and well. Myself, I don't contribute much, but I do check this forum at least twice daily to keep up on problems and advice that others write about. |

Painemann, I login about every day. Sometimes I'm tired and just don't feel like responding to an issue that been covered/discussed a dozen times already. There's a lengthy thread about whether or not people are going to keep the beast. Mostly people say they're going to keep. There's a thread about why so many bottom ends of CRD's deconstruct. There's a thread about why so many turbo's are grenading. Neither of those threads are something I can relate to. The people who sell 'generally' just sell and go on with living. I don't want to read instructional posts by people who don't own/drive a Liberty CRD. I don't see (not this board. . . BUT IN THE REAL WORLD) people with grenading turbos or the bottom ends flying apart. So, I don't read the thread about 'why do so many rod bearings/bolts ,whatever, fail?' In my world, they don't. Anyway, the culture of any board changes. . . there's an ebb and flow. Right now, I sense 'experts' who don't even drive a Jeep CRD. And people who want to start an emotional upheaval about something that's never happened to them. . . or me. I only read posts by guys who from my experience, may know something about what they're talking about. |

Hey guys, Just my 2 cents worth but I think this is a great group, most people here are helpful and honest and we all see supportive which seems to be a little hard to find in these online forums. If anyone feels this forum is slowing, lets start getting together and becoming more active as a group. I now have 2 jeeps both are crd's I am selling one but I plan to keep the other I really enjoy driving the jeep even if it was a gasser but having the oil burner makes it just that much more fun. |

The Jeep and I will be hanging around here for a long time. Just did some Mods and upgrades. Check Sig. Runs and drives great. Much of what I have learned about this Jeep is from this forum and the 4x4 forum. I have to honestly say that I am thoroughly enjoying my Jeep, you guys, and this forum. |

Both of my CRDs are rolling, I might pop in if I have an issue of have something to share, but how much can you talk about them? I usually find more interesting stuff in the off topic section of forums as long as they are not over moderated. If we cant talk guns, religion and politics they might as well cut the wire to your PC? |

I can give everyone some "per-forum" stats, but I can assure you it's not been slow, just (as mentioned) shifting primary topics of discussion Dan |

I find it interesting that a poster refers to 'experts that don't drive a CRD' above. Maybe I'm reading more than the text has, but it seems like the suggestion is that is a bad thing. I may fall under that connotation as I no longer have a CRD... But does anyone feel my knowledge is somehow different? I sold out of my CRD after losing the SECOND engine, and having already paid close to 28,000 for a vehicle that was sold for 15... I had had enough. I wasn't going to spend another 8000 chasing another engine. My goal now is to share that expensive knowledge, to anyone that may benefit with the vehicle they still have. I also have noticed the forum quieter recently... Maybe that might be because the holidays are over and people are getting back to work or other things? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |

Well - slow or not - the CRD section has now passed the general section in terms of total posts it's been creeping up for a while. currently 139655 General, 139846 CRD. considering the number of V6 Liberty owners on LOST vs the CRD - that's amazing. |
