where to begin. alright 8 months ago i had loss of power black smoke my wife audree calls me says she is broke down i went to go get her i limped it home i found a blown cac hose, replaced ran great. about 3 months ago i order parts to do the timming belt and all the other stuff. about a week before i do the belt ect. it starts lossing power, black smoking, turbo lag. i replace the timing belt put it all back together it fires up runs fine still with a little smoke and power loss, a week after the belt audree calls me and says the jeep wont start, it knocks real loud i told her id come get her and as she hangs up it starts, she got it home and i went out to look at it, it fired up without a problem, i turned it off and tried to start it again it had lost fuel prime and it was just crainking and knocking real bad so i pumped it up with the hand primer it fired up no problem. i researched fuel problems on this car and alot of people had problems with the filter head, so before i could get the chance to really diagnose any thing it was a cold morning and i broke the hand button on the fuel head so i replaced it that turned out not to be the problem. so audree is driving it having to prime it up here and there then it threw a check engine light i scanned it and it came up with 2 codes one was cam shaft sensor intermittent bank A and cam shaft sensor bank a A. so i replaced the sensor fired it up no problem shut it off imediatly tried to start and it would crank and knock. if i would let it sit for 5 seconds after turning it off it would start every time. only if i turned it off and tried to start immediatly it wouldnt start so i showed audree the trick of letting it sit and stuff and how to start it i i sat in the car for and hour startinging it and killing it it would start evry time, so then the next morning i go out to start it for her before she goes to work it cranks and knocks same thing, so i primed it up and crank it sits there and smokes but never fires. no check engine light it doesnt feel like its losing prime has anyone had these symptomes or know of anything im missing ill try anything

Welcome kvong33...

Did you read the Sam's CRD Noob Guide?

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=54207

It will walk you thru most of the things that go wrong with the CRD including Fuel head leaking issues. That sounds like your problem. There is a known problem with the 1st type of fuel head, You may need to replace it with the 2nd gen type.

Sorry... it sounds like this is a primary form of transportation. Without knowing and doing the things on Sam's Noob Guide your in for a battle with your CRD Jeep.

Spend some time reading with your wife if she is driving it and then ask questions.

Best of luck to you!

Can we get some general info.

1) Mileage
2) Any modifications
3) Any major repairs or maintenance
4) 05 or 06

Who did the timing belt? How did you do it? Proper tools?

One thing that won't throw a code is a crank sensor... But lets get to the other info first.
