Hey everyone,

As most of you know I work at IDParts.com, which has been a VW TDI specialty shop for years. About a year ago I started building a catalog for fellow Liberty CRD owners. Now we stock a boatload of items for the CRD motor, and the Liberty CRD Timing Belt Kit has been a really fast seller.
Image
We are importing OE Litens tensioners from Europe, we use only Gates belts and OEM water pumps. I've been working hard (bargaining) with manufacturers to try and get the pricing down on the kit and I'm going to be able to drop the price significantly in the coming weeks. The kit is currently $572.95, and I'm hoping I'll be able to cross just under the $500 mark. So, if you need a belt kit, waiting until mid-December may save you $75 bucks.

Thanks.

UPDATE:

As of June 2013, we are now able to source brass metal water pumps from GRAF, and along with other items directly from manufacturers, I have been able to get costs down so the kit is now just $399.

This is great news...seldom you hear of price reductions for anything!!! I'll be looking for one of these in the spring. My wife's CRD is getting ready to roll over 90K miles.

Hey that's great news. I was planning on ordering a kit soon. I'll wait and watch for when it drops.

Yep, I just skipped my belt, crushed some rockers, and know I'll need a kit soon. Apparently I'm ordering the Rockers next and then waiting on this to see how it goes.

Was just about ready to order from Corey, but I think that I will wait a couple of weeks to see if he can get the price down. I am at 101K but I will wait a couple of weeks to save $75 bucks.

112k, I'm not sure it would've skipped if the Turbo hadn't crapped out....

I still should've changed it at 100K, but with my luck it still would've skipped.

Look again! $519.95.

I wasn't able to fully make my target discount, but this is the lowest the kit will be. We just received a full stock of OE Litens tensioners, OE pumps and Gates belts. We did a large end of year buy on these items which is where the savings is coming from.

Awesome picture! Nice GDE sticker on the top too.

I think you may be one of the first CRD owners to have our decal. We appreciate the advertising!

Anyone else want a decal?

I checked the site for the decal and can't find it anywhere. Do you have a direct link to them?
I'll rock an idparts decal. It's the list I can do for all the things you've been doing for the crd community.

Also I was wondering if you had any success with Cvs for our Crds.

Thanks!

Well I awoke a moster apparently - I reposted this photo on our facebook account and got flooded with sticker requests...they are all gone.

PM me with your address and I'll get one out to you soon. The printer is just down the block so we should be able to get more soon.

All good things come to an end...or a pause. The good pricing is over for now until we get our shipment from Europe. These kits FLEW out the door - I thought we had enough for 2 months but sold out in under two weeks. Pricing for now is back up as fill-in suppliers are much more expensive. Stay tuned!

Oh wow wasn't expecting that to happen so quickly. Glad I bought it when I did. Now I just need to secure me the timing belt tools.
