Looks to be part 05159962AA, a) Stealer b) Google search for 05159962AA and choose shop, then select price lowest to highest. Looks to cost around $300. c) eBay - take your chances. Are you certain this is the part that's failed? Good luck, Mark |

Thanks for the reply.I talked with Kieth at GDE,he thought this would be #1 to change..It has code p0093 and dies when you load it up..Fuel rail pressure goes to 12000 psi then drops to 600psi and dies.If I floor it from a stop it goes through 1st, shifts to 2nd(at 4000 rpm)pulls for about 5 seconds and shuts off..Has new fuel head and filter. Replaced fuel lines with hose to get rid of air in fuel lines. Checked the injectors for to much return of fuel..Also replaced the fuel pressure solenoid on back of fuel rail..

That's going to be a real pain to get to. I'm not sure how easily you can access that area from the back, I know that's a timing belt removal if you have to replace the whole pump, but apparently this solenoid attaches at the back of the pump. $425 seems pricey but what are you going to do honestly if that's what's wrong? |

I found a new one on e-bay for $200.The part # helped a lot..Thanks..As far as getting to it. Remove batt Remove battery holder Remove charge air hose Unhook and lay back fusebox Takes about 2 hrs...screws are hard to get to. |

tracklite wrote: My fuel quantity solenoid will be in on Apr. 2nd..will post after I get it changed out... I'm in the middle of a 3500 mile trip with symptoms the same as yours. I installed an in tank lift pump and filter in Kansas City and the problem was alleviated but never went away completely. It will pull highway speeds on flats but totally dogs on inclines and will stall if floored. So, before I leave El Paso for Michigan, I'd be very interested in your results. It seems like installing it would be a bit of a pain but not impossible and I can do it before I leave. In the meantime, I'll research the differences between the Jeep version and the GM and Dodge ones. Those others seem to be much more plentiful than the Jeep one. Thanks. |

It might start with a 0 928 xxx xxx. If so, we might get a cross reference to a more widely available unit. Thanks. |

I put in an Airtex E7181M. It went in just like described in several internet guides. I did not bother adjusting the float lever since I figured I'd have more time and resources to do so once I got back home. If you'd like, you can PM me your phone number with a convenient time to call. |

Awesome! This is the kind of information that I was looking for. The 0928400xxx Bosch number is very similar to a bunch of MPROP solenoids that are installed on other common rail systems. Pensacola has one as low as $134 and the most expensive they list is $189. Of course, some are with angled plugs and who knows what kind of plug type they are and what pressures they work. But, there's a possibility of one of these working on our CP3 pumps. A quick internet search brought up a bunch of European sources and alternate Bosch numbers of 0928400547 and 0928400588, a Fiat number of 504070403 and a VM number of 45022054F. I'll keep looking to see if something pops up as much more reasonable. A simple device like that does not look like $300 worth of anything. You got a really good score on yours. Maybe we'll make it so everyone is able to do that in the future. |

I got my fuel solenoid replaced..Removed air from system..Started up ok.. At 45F it would stall when I floored it but it would pull good and run over 70 mph..After it warmed up 2 or 3 min. of driving back to 55 mph on flat road and under 2000 RPM's...If anyone has other ideas please let me know |

tracklite, Did you ever resolve this issue? I'm in the same boat. I've replaced the fuel head, added a lift pump, cleaned the tank and supply lines, replaced all 4 fuel injectors since they tested bad, and replaced the MPROP. The next item to replace will be the high pressure control valve on the back of the fuel rail. This P0093 issue is very frustrating, time consuming, and expensive to troubleshoot using trial and error methods. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. TIA '06 CRD GDE ECO tune |
