So I had my transmission rebuilt and they switched my TC. They told me they put a heavy duty one in. But now I have shutter around 50-60 mph. They keep say this has never happened before and they have done 4 or 5 CRD's before. I can't seam to find a something to show them that it my TC. Because now after 4 try of fixing it they want to wipe my GDE TCM. Or could it be something other then the TC?

Thanks for the help
Shawn

I would get a hold of Keith and the guys at GDE, they know far more about this than nearly anyone else here and can point you in the right direction and may be able to give advice for a re-tune if necessary due to new components.

Get with them first.

Sounds like they didn't put a quality TC into your tranny. Have them pull it out and put in a factory OEM TC. The newest generation OEM TC's are built better and can withstand anything a stock or hot GDE tune can throw at it. A gasoline engine heavy duty TC isn't going to cut it for a diesel; is that what they used?

Did they use ATF+4???????? That is something else to consider. Regardless, you paid for the work and it wasn't done correctly, its your shops problem to resolvd to your satisfaction.

I agree that they didn't use a quality TC. That was the first thing we talked about when I gave them the job. They are using ATF+4 because they told me ever time they look at it cost them $100 in fluid.
