Had a turbo recently blow in my 06 Liberty CRD. Replaced turbo, oil feed line, intercooler lines, cleaned intercooler, and oil/filter. Initial start up went fine; ran for 5 minutes then changed oil and filter again. Started up again and encountered 2 problems:

#1 - Engine very slightly revs up then diesels for a couple seconds and starts over.
#2 - Radiator is not apparently drawing coolent from coolant tank and radiator is pressurizing to the point coolant is spraying out the "verflow to the coolant tank"line.

Any ideas what may be wrong?

Thanks,

Jlo

Please post this in the CRD Liberty "Love the Torque" section....CRD Tech is for the experts to post clever fixes...not a place to ask questions!

How long does it take for the bottle to pressurize and start spraying. That's usually a tell-tale sign of a blown head gasket. If you've ran the engine more than 5 minutes, the little amount of coolant in the head could be boiling off and causing the pressurizing. Don't feel too bad, I just joined the head gasket club yesterday :(
