Just wondering if anyone has experimented with a CNG system at all with any vehicle. Especially on the KJ CRD. I know very little about this type of system. However, I'm told that CNG works well on a diesel. |

Well first of CNG kits aren't really cheap or easy to install but cheap to operate if you have a good source. All of our local city power and water cars were once on CNGs of 350 Chevys and 4.6 and 5.0 fords and when they sold the a lot of them way up in mileage +200k the insides of the motors were super clean. But they had their own filling stations and they were gas and not and odd ball Italian diesel. So yes the CNG systems were great in the way of longevity and reliability but then you have finding fuel all the time finding or making parts to convert it over and general cost of R&d. I have watched guys in their daddy's cummins and powerstokes having melt downs when running to much propane injection. |
