The F37 recall was done on 12-26-2006 and they appear to have replaced the torque converter and reprogrammed your ECU to reduce power a bit and your TCM to raise the shift points (changes final shift point from ca. 58 mph to 62mph). Backwards way (cheaper) for fixing a weak torque convertor compared to the engine; detune engine instead of installing a proper torque convertor which they did on the 2007 export models hence you will see chat about upgrading to the DCJ "Euro" (aka export) TC. On a date I cannot quite read they flashed the ECU (referred to as the PCM on the label) with the 56044562cf version of its program. Don't have a clue what that does but I'd strongly recommend that you save up and purchase a GDE (http://www.greendieselengineering.com/s ... ler%2FJeep) ECU tune for a host of benefits and dump the OEM tune ASAP |

Drop Keith and email with your VIN and he should be able to tell you. |

If the EGR valve hasn't been disabled via a Tune or physical removal, then I will have to disagree with your initial assessment that the Previous Owner knew what they were doing. Anyone could have removed the MAP sensor and cleaned it, or replaced it for $20. Send Keith at GDE the VIN # and he can probably verify if it has a GDE tune or not... Otherwise that should be your absolute first priority, at 80k you may keep your rockers/lifters if you get it done now. ORM is not sufficient. |

It might be a good idea to check for SEGR also if you haven't spoken to the previous owner. When properly installed they are not easy to find unless you know what you're looking for. I'm pretty sure I'd keep mine a secret if I traded it in, but I would tell a new owner about it if I sold it F2F. |

You have a GDE tune if the idle speed briefly flares up to a little over 1000 rpm on cold start, then quickly drops back to around 700. DOC |

Another way to tell is disconnect the MAF. If no CEL appears on the dash, your probably good. Either way call Kieth. Awesome guy to deal with. |
